I have a a 314? fast hitch plow with mechanical lift, I dont have the part that bolts on the fast hitch for the mechanical lift, I was told it used a chain and only worked on the 350/450 and newer fast hitches anybody have a picture of this part and some measurements so I can make one. Thanks

Mike: The parts book shows a photo of the 4 bottom 412 with mechanical lift, not great detail as the photo is from wrong side. It looks like telescope type rod back along top of plow with a hinged linkage to the pivot point of fast hitch.

Here are a list of the parts 1. arm lift, 2. clevi chain, 3. clevis w/chain, 4. pivot bell crank, 5. bellcrank transport rear wheel raising, 6. rod lift, 7. pipe lift, 8. grease fitting for lubricating bellcrank, 9. pipe chain stifener and 10. washer, chain indicator -2-.

It looks as though most of this is right at front of plow with items 6 and 7 going to rear wheel. I'd say one of these being a rod and solid, slides inside the pipe lift and telescopes within.

If you would like copies of this send me an e mail.

Mike: I have a dealer parts book that contains all the plows of that era. 314 is definately a roll over plow. The only plow I see that matches your description is the 312 and 412 being 3 and 4 bottom respectively. It does show a section in the parts book called "transport wheel lift rod".

Having never seen one of these plows, I may need a bit of time to study this, to see what hooks where. I'll come back. A chain is shown in the parts book.

The 314 is a spinner plow with 6 bottoms, 3 going each direction. When you get to the end of the field, you just flip it over. It lifts with a 3-point or 2-point.

most likely you have a 312 plow, if it is 3 bottom; the 311 was just fast hitch, 312 had a lift on the back. i have a 412, (4 bottom), but it is hydraulic lift, not mechanical. if you don't get any response here, try the red power site. binderpower 856 has a 4 bottom with mechanical lift.
