Are the MW live pumps the same for H's and M's?

Just wondered is the H's and M's pump interchange. The M&W ones.

No, they won't. Sorry.

I'm pretty sure that the M&W pump for an H won't fit on an H made during or after 1950. There was a change in the front cover of the engine to accomodate the IH factory live pump at that time, and the M&W live pump is designed to fit the older style front cover.

The H pump will fit the H, SH, 300, & 350.

Nope, bolt patterns are different. H's and 300's and maybe the 350's are the same, and I think M's and up might be the same, but somebody on here will know for sure. Harley

I think M&W have slots for mounting where IHC just had holes...so M&W were more adaptable. Does that make sense? Dick Davis

Yeah the M&W had one hole on the bottom and a slot on top I think. Just talking to someone who had the pump and they said it would fit either a M or H. So thats why I asked you guys. This pump goes right were the dist is and has a little for drive on it like a dist. I think there is also some pumps with gears on them that you can use also but it has to bolt right to the front cover.
