Does anyone know where to get a seat spring that will not go down all the way when a 250lbs guy is on the seat? The shock is fine so I dont think thats the problem. thanks Andrew

When I did mine last year I thought replacing the rubber bushings helped as much as the new shock. My 2 cents

The strongest spring has a number 5 near the top or 5 lines. These would be of the original IH. I don't know about the reproductions that they sell.

Look for an original spring with 4 notches cut into the top of the spring usually within the last 2" of the spring end. Fewer notches = less strength.

I've got a farmall super h which has the shock ahead of the seat spring. I took a spring that goes over a car shock cut it to the length that i needed put over the tractor shock painted it farmall red looked good and you can adjust it to the firmess that you want works great.
Robert in mich.
