I pulled the right side axle out of my sa and it has a different # then the left side.

Both have the IH stamp. I looked them up and they both cross to different part numbers.

left side was PL-240 right side was GL-240. they will both interchange and fit either axle and housing.

I assumed they would both have the same number. now i wonder if the bull gear gearing is different also.

Gonna call a dealer tomarrow and see if i can get the parts to put this thing back together.

any of yall know if they still use the felt seals. I got a couple of seals with the tractor but dont know which ones they are.None of the old numbers crossed to them. 288864R93 is on the package. they do not have the felt.

Both sides use the same seal the inners match also the outer ones and they will not be the old felt type also will be thinner. I use CAR QUEST for my supplier.

sorry for the tripple posts, it wouldn't show up even when i refreshed the page.

called a dealer today hopefully he will be able to get them. small town here is in dire need of a good parts house and someone to run it.still gonna be a long drive to get them.
