I have been reading this site for about three years now! I very seldom answer a question in this fourm because of a lack of knowledge on these tractors. However I occasionally answer one in the garden tractor forum for I have been working on cub cadets for about twenty years or so. A couple of years ago I purchased a 340 utility with a bad motor. I have been doing research on this motor as to what options I have to repair it. This site has been very useful with this information. As these motors seem to be difficult to find.I just purchased a c135 motor last week to get all the internal components to put in my block. I have posted several questions will little or no answers. That is all right because that makes you dig deeper for the info and you understand it more thoroughly. I live in a little town in northcentral Pa. I have access to 140 acres to do with what I want. Some day I would like to brush hog some of the fields and cut my winter fire wood for the shop. I really enjoy reading the post on a daily basis. I have purchased some things off this web site as part of my contribution.
I'm sure I will have more questions as I continue to work on this tractor.
Thanks in advance for your assistance!

Best site on the planet in my opinion. I was able to get through my first restoration without any major problems thanks to the advice I got here, the rebuilt mag from you, the carb rebuild from rusty_farmall, and the archives. All I do now is enjoy plowing snow sitting down. I'm having a blast.

WOWI bet it took a 1/2 hour to read all the responses to your post. I found this site about a year ago after i bought my 300, I would visit perodically as i had a question and have gotten to where i have to stop by and read the wealth of imformation daily now,as a matter of fact I have a file of posts that I've printed out on subjects that may help me down the road. I live about 20 east of Boise ID on a little 4 acre place that we bought and built our home and a small barn for the horses on. I am currently building a 30x 40 shop so i can keep the 300 out of the garage when repairs are needed. I was raised in dallas and spent most my summers on my Grandfathers farm (ahh the good old days) I said all my life that i would live in the country if i could make the money i did in the city, so here we are. Been in Idaho 21 years now. I would like to thank Magman. Kelly c Tractor Vet.Nebraska Cowman and all of you who have been so helpful with the problems I've encountered. I am currently rebuilding and painting the old girl. I have and do post ocassionally if i think i can be of help to someone else and i was also unaware of the donation link although i did just receive parts from UPS Friday and will continue to shop here as needed. Sorry for the long post but you asked. he he

Magman I know what you mean about all the new people.
I was gone for a week at the end of Feb. and when I got back I thought I was at the wrong site because of all the new names.
A lot of them are becoming familiar now.
Welcome abroad yee all.
