I found a used one for $500, is this a good price?
Also, the guy told me that I had to use chains in the front to keep it level. Is this used for floating the mower? I am going to run it with my H but am afraid that I will scalp the yard. Any advice and comments are appreciated.

Ed

I have one and love it. I run it on my IH 464 and can mow in 3rd gear. It beats the heck out of one of those zero turn mowers because 1. I get to use the tractor. 2. 1/10th the cost of a zero turn mower and 3. I get to drive my tractor. Belt is $78 here in KY.

I have a rm59 3pt mower and we have the chains. when mowing we just let it down and mow. the chains will keep it from dragging. as far as the price i would check the blades and belt. I believe a belt was not cheap and the blades cot about 40 dont quote me on the prices.

Are you happy with this mower and the job it does? Do you run it with a H?
