I just purchased a IH / Farmall. I think it is a 1950. Can anyone tell me what model I have. On the plate is #58323. The engine and the transmission housing make up the frame. There is no set of frame rails. I want to buy some parts and I need the paint code. Thanks Michael.

If it is a C, then it was made in 1950, and it will have no frame rails at all.

Does it have two u-joints in the steering shaft which runs down the left side of the tractor like a C with the seat in the middle?

If the seat is not in the middle it is not a C and not made in 1950.

Look for the letter prefix on the serial number plate. Also look at gallery section to try and match tractor or even better post picture. Give more description. 58323 does not fit 1950 for most models.

Serial range for 1950 C is 47010-71879. 58323 was likely assembled in April 1950, since the white C's ended with 54411.

Can you post a picture? Someone will be able to identify it very easily. Side picture the best.

Yes, T.V., what you post sounds very appealing. Have one to trade, 5-4, but over the years got too much high moisture corn..... ... While the weight definitely is there, I don't think that the 'dressed carcus weight' would be a high percentage..... .....What would the trade difference be? Also this one is blonde and speaks French and Shakespeare. I suppose that that is not a required skill in your area, but up here it is almost a necessity to enjoy life to the fullest.....QR..
