What's supposed to hold the early style of IH suitcase weights tight to the bracket? These are the ones that have about a 1/2" hole in the bottom, looks like to run a bolt through up towards the bracket? These aren't the ones that you run a piece of angle iron through.

What size bolt was used to secure the older style without the L shaped cutout? I had the same question as I have been trying to figure out how to tighten mine as well.

each had a hole thru the bottom on and angel that you would tighten up aganist the bottom of the weight bracket , then on the later ones the had a l shaped slot thru the weight that a pice of angel iron went thru and it bolted to the weight bracket .
