I have an M that my Dad bought in 51, according to the serial number it is a 1949. Here"s the SN FBK 195663 X5. What do the X5 stand for? It"s not stamped the same as the SN, so I don"t think it came from the factory like that. Just curious if anyone know.

Thanks,
Bobg

It stands for 5000 foot altitude pistons.

Will,

Thanks for the info, I had a feeling that's what it stood for. The tractor was originally bought new in Billings Montana. I currently have it in southeastern Washington. What's the difference in the higher altitude pistons?

Thanks
Bobg
