First of all you are going about it the wrong way. Your gonna get hurt or kill some one if your usin the farmall flywheel. get that 13 inch clutch out of there cause it just wount fit. You gonna have to use a 10.5 flywheel and clutch to make the starter fit.Use a chevy clutch on a chevy flywheel and take your measurements from the mounting plate to the bottom of the pilot bearing and then from the face of the flywheel housing to the coupler. Add the 2 together then you have the proper length of a input shaft. Call a machine shop and have them cut chevy splines on one end and IH on the other. You will have to hog out the mounting flange on the frame rail and use the smallest mini starter you can find ( i used a jegs stater, 153 tooth flywheel, moser engineering cut the input shaft, had to fabricate throw out bearring retainer). Just my experience

First off you use the stock flywheel and just out of my owen have to know why a small block ??? if ya want more power ya should have went to a big block as a small block does not have the bottom end toqure and will have less power and also when usuing a stock flywheel they do not take well to high RPM's as they are a CAST and have heat cracks and bad spots in the castings. and if ya plan on using it to try to farm with it you will have to install a govener .Now you can have a flywhell made out od 4440 steel and have it drilled to mate with the crank and have it balanced to take the stock clutch and same demenshions as the stock M then things will fall together . . Myself i like the 460 ford in a farmall good bottom end and works well .

Nicely put Vet but if you use the the stock flywheel your gonna put a whole lot extra weight on the end of that crank that it wasn't desighed for and then ad a spacer to make it meet the input shaft will stress it that much more causing a crank failure. Then you gonna run the risk of a fly wheel explosion

will you need a spacer between the crank and the m fly wheel? or will the pilot bearing catch the drive line?
