Sometimes you even get to meet these people in person which is even a greater treat. I think we may run into even more people from this forum than you would realize. I have met many of them at auctions, but didn't know it until after I saw a post! If you see a big guy at an auction with a red IH hat on come on up and introduce yourself!

I have to echo the comments made here. I have learned so much, saved loads of dollars AND eased a lot of fears as a result of the advice given so graciously on this site. I was new to Farmalls 3 years ago and now I feel like an "old" hand..well at least comfortable with my level of knowledge. Lots of good, patient salt of the earth folks here... Thanks Ramon

With out a doubt the folks here are more patient and kind than any forum I've been to. I see many of the same questions pop up and rarely if ever does a responder recommend "do a search". I wonder what the collective mindshare is in terms of years? Could be well into the thousands.

I agree with River Bottom. This is one of the most civil boards I've been on. There is a great knowledge base here that's willing to tirelessly and patiently share knowledge and experience. A lot of people here are actual farmers, or like me, wannabe smalltimers, and others are just tractor nuts with no more than a quarter-acre backyard to play in. I begin to wonder if "farmer" isn't as much a job as it is an attitude on life. A very good attitude.

Ditto to what Dick said. The majority of the people on this board gladly (and accurately) pass along information and experiences. It is always a pleasure to hear from them.

Thank you Woody for taking time to write what most of us have thought but not typed. Regards Dick Davis
