How difficult is it to remove the hydraulic pump out of the "belly" of a Super M? Is it very heavy? Are there any tricks?

I dropped the one on my H with a floor jack on top of a couple of 2X6 blocks (after I removed the three pipe nipples, fill pipe, & control handle) The hardest part was getting the punp back in the case after I rebuilt it. I falls out when you take it apart, but you gotta hold your mouth right to get it back in the case. ken

It's definitely safer as a two-man job, even with a lift.

It was suggested on here (forgot who) to use two pieces of ready rod to replace 2 bolts diagonal from each other. It is a little tippy, and could use a handle as it comes down. (vice grips)

50 lbs dry. You can perhaps jack a platform up to it and then slowly lower it down, some big fellas I know, hold it up with their shoulder when they unbolt it, and then slowly let it down.

Me, I would jack up a platform to take it's weight as I unbolted it...
