I am restoring a 1935 F 12. It has been in a barn not used since 1960. It has only one coat of red paint over the farmall grey. It also has a PTO shield that has the grey paint on it behind the bolts, and an IH casting stamp. I can't find record of this anywhere. Has anyone seen this before?

The cover or the stamp? The correct cover is rare. The stamp will tell you what transmission gears are in it. What is the letter?

I am talking about the shield. The stamp is the IH symbol that is stamped on all of the cast parts. The cast piece with the stamp seems to be some sort of hinge. The shield is heavy guage steel. It comes down from the top two bolts at a 45 deg. angle and connects with another flat steel plate that comes horizontally out from the two lower bolts of the square inspection plate above the PTO shaft. The cast piece is on the top of where the two plates come together. It also has a tension spring on the bolt that makes it hinge. Thanks

Maybe a special shield that was included with a machine attachments package? I'd like to see a pictur. Does it have any part number on it?
