Okay, I posted earlier about replacing the TA in my 560 farmall. I had the flywheel resurfaced while the tractor was apart, clutch and presure plate looked good. When I got everything back together the clutch is not releasing . I can shift through the gears when not running, but cannot put in or out of gear when tractor is runnig, I puled it back apat again today and tried putting the clutch disc the other way with the same results. The clutch worked before I ever started this. I have adjusted everything in accordance with the manual.

Just a maybe - that external adjustment between clutch pedal and TA lever is critical; If out of adjustment enough, you'll think you have tranny or clutch problems. For a quick check, disconnect & let hang that little connector & see if it runs & shifts ok in the 5 speeds & rev -it'l be in high torque only til little lever is re-attached.

I am betting that they did not cut the step on the flywheel correctly And if you are out adjustment then i am also betting that the flywheel is about done for. Now also on these old tractors ya can't always go by the book with ware on everything as it will give you a false set up . so it is more of a feel thing then a massurment , if the headed pins have places that are groved then that throws ya off and ware in the housings and on shafts throw it off .

The spec's are 1.406 from the PPA mounting to the face of the flywheel. Don't ya just hate doing it over and over again , but look at it this way your getting better at it each time. I have seen this problem one to times where a machine shop thinks they know what they are doing and realy screw things up , i always take the spec's with me and alos take my owen mic's with me when i go and pick it up and check for my self . The one machine shop i use to use i took him the spec's for all farmall and i h tractors so he had them as that way there was no problems .

The TA clutch or the TA might be direct driving the trans. Just a guess.

How could that happen? I thought if you push the main clutch in it should stop eveything.
