I just purchased a old M-farmall and would like to find out the year model. Serial # FBK 227553X1 I am planing to restore it for a show tractor. I need some parts but it seems that I need the year model. Can any one help me? I had a tractor just like when I started farming in 1958 in West Texas South of Muleshoe in Baily County.

That serial number makes it a 1950. The X1 suffix means it came from the factory equipped to run on gasoline. What parts do you need?
Most of the parts you will need are designated as prior to a certain serial number, or after that same serial number. You will be looking for parts to fit the "after" category.
