Trying to establish a fair market value for 3-WD9's I'm wanting to purchase from a older lady. They've been in the barn for 30 yrs, all the tires are pretty bad, one is basket of parts, second has been partially disassembled (not stuck)and third is stuck but is all together. Sheet metal is good on all of them, the lady has no idea
what shape they were in when parked. Thanks in advance, Kelly

I would say $500 each...that's more than fair.

In the condition you describe, I'd think 800-1000 bucks for all would be plenty. I have a standing offer to buy a running one with useable tires and decent sheetmetal for $800, which I'll probably do if I ever come up with some extra cash.

I've watched several WD9s sell at auction, etc over the last few years. These old tractors would do a lot of work, however, too outdated for anything serious these days. For show, they are very heavy to haul, but do make a very nice show piece. Cost to repair engine is very expensive. The ones I've seen sell that are running have brought $2000-$3000 range max, sometimes less. As you describe these, they are about to parts or scrap value, maybe $500 each.

When their all restored their worth some good money, however you gotta think that its going to cost around a $1000 or more for rubber. and the other thing thats a real kick is getting parts for them. They are alittle more scarce and very expensive. Like a set of main bearings is like $500. Just some things to throw out there. Andrew
