Took Whitey to the backside of the ranch to make sure I still had a fence after that snowstorm that we had in November but it wern't too bad. Saw grasshoppers and even some tiny blooms. It don't get no better than this folks. They can keep their darn old Rocky Mountains! But yes, it is getting kind of dry. I don't worry, I talked to an old old man the other day. He has lived here all his life and said that so far it has rained every year.

Nice pictures, I'm 250 miles south of you -- those are mountains to me. Record low rainfall for Garden City, KS is 5.xx inches in 1956 -- that is not much, since it usually comes in small showers. Hope your friend is right. No crisis yet, but it's getting there.
