Hopefully not major,

The last time out on the tractor I would hit the clutch and it was causing the brake petals to go down and grab.

Any thoughts or past knowledge would be appreciated. (49 M with poor brakes, the left brake is out and the right brake grabs)

Thank you.

The clutch pedal pivots on the same shaft that the brake pedals are on. One of the brake pedals (left brake) is keyed to the shaft and turns the shaft and activates the left brake. The right brake pedal pivots on the shaft like the clutch pedal and works the right brake. So if when you push in the clutch, it is moving the brakes, you need to lube up and free up where the clutch pedal pivots on the shaft. Not a bad idea to just take the pedal off and clean everything up. Also, weak brake return springs would contribute to the problem. Also, if the clutch pedal is loose on the shaft (as is common due to wear), it may be twisting and binding, causing the shaft to turn and activate the brake.
