Well, it is amazing what getting ticked off can do for a person. I twisted off and decided to pull the piston housing and good thing as I was a little scared of the seal and now can replace easily. Also was able to get piston out by doing as you had recommended. This way the seal and o-rings will be new and no worry. How much wear on plates can I tolerate? I have approx. 3/32 groove wear at present and suspect that new linings will not seat well into plates. Should I purchase new plates also?
I foung the adjuster pins after applying compressed air and cleaning outer housing. How did you say to adjust these prior to installation?
Any other suggestions or comments?
Thanks!!!

Myself with out looking at the plates i can"t say for sure but realy this not something real critcal just place the new discs on it and run it it should work well and if not well you will be and expert on R&R ing the brakes , now as for the massurement of the snap rings i will have to look it up as i made a jig that would set it perfect in the press and i made that up 18 years ago and when i did a brake job and had to set the adjusters i would just drop them in and and push them down to the stop and i was done. But i"ll look them up in the morning if i am feeling good enough as i have been fighten a BOLDER in my right kidney and went in yesterday to have it blasted and only about a third has passed sofar and this evening my kidney is killing me .
