Well, I torn the left brake off and outer housing, outer disc, intermediate plate, inner disc and primary plate. The brake piston insulator is trash and someone put silicon on it which makes me wander if they thought there was a leak on the bull pinion seal. Could not see any fresh oil and have run it approx 15 hrs so doubt if there is leak at pinion seal. The intermediate and primary plates are grooved approx.3/32 inch and suspect need replaced along with inner and outer friction discs. Also, for the life of me, I cannot find brake adjuster. All I have is two solid steel dowel pins.
Finally, I am not able to get the piston assy to come out. What is the best way? Start tractor and apply brake with helper to catch piston or remove brake line and apply air. Book says to tap on outer housing but that is joke!

Well if the isolator plat has Dr. blue on it someone used that to hold it to the piston as most of them come off as they were bonded to the piston , when i have to reglue one i clean it and us and epoxy to rebond it . Now the 64 thousand dollar question do you have and IT manual if not ya had better get one so you know what i am telling you . Now as for removal of the brake piston i do not even try to do it on the tractor and using the hdy pressure or air pressure is dangerous and could lead to someone getting hurt or killed . I remove the whole assy from the tractor and bump them out by bumping them against the work bench on a oak block . Now if there are no brake adjusters in the brake drum then Huston we got a problem . Now if ya got a digital camra take some pretty picture and show me as i real like pictures. Then we can go from there.
