I would like to change the fuel filter system on my international 574 with the D239 engine. I currently have the two fuel filters with glass bowls under them and a water separator under it. i would like to change it to the spin on fuel filters. Does anyone know if there was newer D239 engine that had a different filtration system that would bolt rigt on my tractor?

HI FROM CANADA
I HAVE A 574 WITH THE SPIN ON FUEL FILTERS, MADE IN ENGLAND. MY BROTHER HAD A 574 MADE IN U.S., (I THINK). IT HAD THE GLASS BOWL TYPE FILTERS ON IT AND HIS WAS NEWER. MINE HAS THE BOSCH DIESEL PUMP AND INJECTOR SYSTEM MADE IN GERMANY;BROTHERS WAS A LUCUS SYSTEM.
AS ALREADY SAID YOU MIGHT GET THEM FROM WRECKERS.
SURE ARE A LOT EASIER TO CHANGE BUT THEN THEY DON'T NEED CHANGED VERY OFTEN IF YOU CAN USE CLEAN FUEL..... ... ELDON IN ONT.

I have a 685 with spin ons. 684 has spin ons too, at least some do anyway. I would think you could swap them if you can find one in the salvage yards.
