I am looking at a cub for sale. It is in a box. Has 10 or so attachments. The guy said it was running and driving before being torn down. The guy wants $1000, is it worth it?

Where is it the 10 if that is what you say attachments are worth the whole deal. The parts will bring a lot more than the 1000.

That's a years spare time and at least $1000 to get running. Forget it. Basket cases are always missing some parts and/or have worn out parts or they wouldn't be in a basket. $300 tops! Yes, you could sell the parts one at a time for maybe $1200, big deal. Ebay isn't free.

Let just say that most of the parts are there and ya need to rebuild the engine, Heck he has done 40% of the work for ya and since you are a real SLOW mechanic or socalled weekend warrier and it takes you a year to put together a tinker toy ya had better go back to model airplanes in three weekends and including large consuption of barley pop less time out for NASCAR and related activitys with the memeber of the other gendar that littel cubby should be totaly restored and setting in the ft. yard

Just remembered...10 attachments would probably be worth the $1000 so if he is throwing them in, but it still is more work than it's worth for the tractor unless you have an uncontrolable urge to restore something.
