Remove the small cover on top of the TA houseing. pull the TA lever back & see if the linkage is working the TA clutch press plate fingers, if so usually the nut that retains the TA clutch to the Planetary carrier has came loose and backed out against the TA clutch disc. Will take a split at the clutch houseing to repair.

Sounds like your TA clutch is not disengaging. Try adjusting the linkage first, but I'd almost suspect that your TA clutch is stuck or possibly the sun gears or planet gears are messed up and turning as a unit even with the TA clutch disengaged.

If you have correctly adjusted the clutch and t/a, It is time for a clutch.. pulling the t/a back should help in shifting.
