It appears to me that the rubber springs are sold as singles and you obviously need two. Is there any difference between the IH and various aftermarket pieces except the price? The shock seems to be harder to find as well as a bit pricey at just under $100 for the aftermarket one I found. Does NAPA or someone else carry these?

Ive seen aftermarket mechanical relacement assemblies that would cost a bit more than the parts at the prices that I've seen to rebuild the old one($160 - 200). This may be a silly question asking a bunch of IH guys, but are the replacements any good(with the correct police set aside for the moment)?

If I can get the old one working for under a hundred and change it's a no brainer to stay factory for me. ;)

A&I aftermarket has the springs for around $30, less than half what CNH gets and they seem to be of conparable quality. You might have to bite the bullet and shell out the cash to CNH on the shock as I don't know of a aftermark source for them.

Pete, Your local IH dealer should have original rubber torishons for you seat. But they are high priced, My local dealer has after-marcket ones for cheaper price, if you can't find any. Hollar at me and I will tell you where to find at my local dealer.
Later,
John A.
