Thinking of mounting an 8 inch Schaver post driver on the front of the H. Will this work? Is the H heavy enough, and will it have enough hyd capacity to run it? I don't have a live pump, I was just going to use the single outlet, and plumb a return into the belly of the H, is this correct?

dph, I have driven lots of post with a driver on an H. Don't know if it was a shaver, but the one i used had spings that drove the post and hyd to raise it. It work well, would drive a cedar post as big as you could get in it if you sharpened it first. You had to becareful how far you raised it up as it would sometimes grenade the top of the post. The H worked good because we had it mounted on the front and the fence was next to a wooded area, so you could get in a tight area with it. I beleive the return line was a large rubber hose. Hope this helps PUTTER

It should be heavy enough, and it should work. My M was setup like what you are talking about. The H should be plenty heavy

DPH:

I am using a shaver # 8 driver on an 856. I have a lot more tractor than I need. I think the H will handle the weight. If memory serves the whole driver w mounts etc.. should weigh about 500#. I don"t know the GPM on an H pump. I fyou go online to Shaver mfg, the manual on the driver will give you the gpm required. I would want to exceed the required amount if I were you.

I am moving my driver to my 560, and am anticipating no problems with it there.
