Ive got a 1950 Mccormick WR-9 on propane with 15x34 tires on it, they are pretty bad and I wondered if 18.4x34 tires would fit it and clear the fenders? thanks.

Go with the 18.4 x 34 as that is the replacement for 15 x 34. Don't forget, to be correct for a WR-9 you need the rice version of tire.

My tractor is shown in tractor photos. Search for rice. My name is listed after the description.

The 1952 W-6 was standard with 14 x 30 (16.9 x 30). Factory options were; 13 x 30 (15.5 x 30) and 15 x 30 (18.4 x 30). I imagine the Super W-6 had the same sizes but I don't have those original specs.

It will fit fine. 18.4 x 34 is the modern size for the old 15 x 34 tire size designation. The original rear tire sizes available from the factory on the WR-9 were: 14 x 34 (16.9 x 34), 15 x 34 (18.4 x 34), and 18 x 26 (23.1 x 26).

I recently replaced the rear tires on my WR-9 with 16.9 x 34 and they worked fine. I didn't want to try 18.4's with the big fenders, but that is what came on my W-9.
If you decide to go w/ 18.4's, let us know how it worked out. Good luck.
