Today was my lucky day I got the mail and I have been pre-approved for a Bank of America Visa Platinum card, Mutual of Omaha is going to give me a second chance for life insurance, and best of all Greene County Sheriff Jack L. Meritt is going to make me an Honorary Member of the Missouri Sheriffs' Association for only $20. Wow!!!!! ! it has been my lucky day.

Jimmy, I have a lucky day like yours almost everyday. Dee orders a few things on-line or through the mail and you can't believe the amount of emails and paper catalogs in the mail box that will generate. Have a good on and hope you've been able to stay warm. Hal

Jim: Actually your day was better than you think. I have been a bit reluctant to tell you this. About a week ago you e mailed me a joke, which I enjoyed. On Sat night a widow friend of my wife e mailed about 6 e mails with jokes, one of them the exact same joke as yours. This is about the 3rd time this has happened, same joke as you had sent about a week earlier. Problem is this widow always e mails about half dozen which take about 3/4 hour to down load.

On Sat night I was trying to get to some other e mails, and rather discusted having to wait on our widow friend. Finally I declared to my wife, I'm going to pickup your widow friend, take her and leave her with Jimmy King, at least we will save the time of getting the same joke twice, and he may just straighten her out. Believe me, your day could have been worse.

Your lucky day would have been if you had visited Lincoln, Nebraska yesterday and bought that winning powerball ticket. How many old red tractors would 365M buy?

They have called me twice now . Myself i would not even chase the money across a parking lot not worthe my effort .

If your luck holds up you might get an invitation to join America OnLine with some free hours thrown in. Give them one of your new credit card numbers and they'll put it to good use.

Jim: Somehow I sence the excitment is rather hollow. Just what powers would that Sherrif's Assoc. position give you anyhow. I was thinking along the lines of some ensuspecting tourist traveling through the area, just might happen to have a heavy foot and accidently get over the speed limit and run amuck of the Sherrif. Assuming you held this position, could one expect preferential treatment?

Hugh, I would suspect that once they got my $20 I would be lost in the system until next year and they would want $20 again.

Jim: So basically what your telling me, is if I come the the great state of Missouri, as a tourist, I best mind my Ps and Qs. About all your going to be able to do is concole me over the $50. to $200. traffic ticket I may have given to state coffers. Influence in Missouri must be like influence in Ontario, the price is higher than $20.

Hey Jimmy, I didn't read your first post closely enough. My reason for going to mapquest is that I'm visiting my daughter and son-in-law in Independence next weekend. Where do you live? Been to MO many times. Beautiful state and real nice people. Almost like being back home in MI. Dave.
