Hello, my dad and I are working on a 656 and in putting the emblems back on some of the clips that hold them on from the back are missing. We cant find them anywhere. Do any of you know any place to get them or do you have any ideas or ways youve attached them? Thanks

Are You sure they are clipped from back? My '61 140 emblems used these little split clips that snapped into the holes in the sheetmetal! I was lucky and found replacements at old bodyshop! Guy that found them for Me said they the same as the one's used on 60's era mustangs! Scott

An auto body shop would have a type of double-sided sticky foam rubber tape, made for putting trim and such on. Very sticky stuff- they"ll never come off again unless you use lacquer thinner or similar. Also conforms to irregularities because it"s foam rubber. The stainless emblems on my 600 are held on with it and I DON"T want to lose those!

I don't know how those are retained but if they have a staight nipple that pokes through then you can get what are called push nut's ( I think ) . They look like a thin cupped washer made out of spring steel . Get them at any hardware store or Fastenal if you happen to have one near you . Or a dab of clear silicone works OK for a few years too if you make sure the parts are sqeeky clean .
