Whats the difference between fasteners and hooks on the hood? Can anyone send a pic of a fastener?
I know what the hooks look like, but not the fasteners. Thanks

These type fastners were common in older aircraft, you should be able to find them and installation tools from an aircraft parts supply house.

Very early A,B, etc hoods had a "screw head" on the outside of the hood with a spring behind that did the fastening. I have never seen one. Later ones had the hooks. They are not interchangeable, if that's what you are talking about.

I believe they are called Dzus fasteners. Trying to find a hood with those fasteners for a 1940 B. Only found 1 and pops did not like the price.
