Boy my grandma sure suprised me over the weekend by giving me my late grandfather's 1959 farmall 340 row crop. It need some work, my uncle has been quite hard on it since my grandpa's passing and the last I knew it had distributer problems. and other electrical problems, (I.e. uncle stelling parts for his 504, funny thing is the distributer problems started about the time he got his 504)any way I will try to post a pciture when I get the time to take one.

Parts wise I think it is almost complete, I think the distributer is bad, can it be rebuilt? I know that the tach and light switch ended up im my uncles 504 along with its gas cap and possibly the generator as well. But he put his old one back on the 340 so I can have that rebuilt. I plan on restoring it as soon as I can, but currently my f-20 is in a million pieces and I need to finish that first and my cub's motor overhaul comes ofter that.

Pull the plugs out of it and spray 5seconds worth of LPS corrosion inhibitor into each hole. Then put the plugs back in. Cheap insurance. Nice gift.

Nice gift. Get the thing rescued and bring your questions and needs here and we'll help you get it back together. I have a 504 and just got the little brother 404 both Farmalls. Neat little tractors. Migraine
