An equipment jockey freind of mine gets buehler(sp) loaders when he needs one to sell a tractor. It looks as though 2 bolts clamp the loader into its sockets, and has quick couplers and 2 legs that drop down. They build them to fit lots of different models and even paint them to match.

I don't know if this will help or not. Me and my buddy just bought a 1960's (not sure of the exact year yet) IH B414 utility tractor that came with a Superior front end loader. I don't know if your 460 has the same size frame or not. The loader is a quick disconnect type and seems to fit/work well so far. I don't have any pictures yet but if you do a search under this website's picture gallery using the word "Superior" you will see exactly what's on our tractor. (our's is not for sale).

I think a IH 2150 loader would work good on it and a WL 21 Westendorf would work also. Don't know too much about other brands.

bryan: I think the loader you buy depends largely on where you live. Bear in mind your 460 was built before the days of quick attach loaders. There are quick attach loaders that will fit or can be made to fit your 460, as tractor configuration and chassis length did not change greatly in the years that followed the 460.

If you watch these discussions closely you will notice certain loaders have great popularity in specific geographic locations. Just for example Westerndorf ( don't know as I've spelled that correctly) seem very poular across the US mid west. You never see one of those here in SW Ontario, however we have one called Quicke very similar and here Quicke has the market cornered.

I would tend to watch what is popular in your area.

I would consider the U34 Power Loader a quick-detachable loader.Afterall, set up the way it was meant to be,only 4 bolts need to be removed from the rear axle clamps and the hoses unhooked with disconnects. Then,a leveling leg is lowered and the tractor backs out from the whole loader. The front of the loader framework slides into recieving pockets on either side of the front bolster. However,a U34 wouldnt be a good choice for a 460.
