This old girl (W4)has the job of running the generator when the power goes out. It always starts in the cold so it gets the job. No power no plug in! This day it went for 6 hours turning out 100 amps.

Nice set-up, but one caution. More so with a diesel, but when snowing tie a gunny sack(burlap bag) loosely over the air cleaner stack. The bag flapping in the wind will prevent snow from clogging the air cleaner. A clogged air cleaner at full throttle results in sucking the oil out of the pan & then KABLOOWIE, one destroyed engine. Saw it happen to a dozen or so tractors several years ago.
Stay warm & dry

Use the H all the time to run the generator for small jobs in the summer. Heck, the A will run it just fine if all you want to run is a couple of power tools...

Passed up a super deal on a generator about like yours a few years ago. Had a guy tell me that an H didn't have the horses needed to run it. Found out later that my H would not have run the unit to it's full capacity, but would have done just fine if all I wanted was to run the furnace and a few lights.
