Guys,
I am trying to find out how much preasure the hydraulic system runs on a 350 row crop. It appears that my rear lines are bad and I am trying to figure out what I can do to fix them. I know there are no replacement for them other than used lines. It is hard to find a used set that does not leak and you pay a fortune for them. Does anyone know what lb. preasure the system runs, or any tricks to fix leaking lines. It looks like the lines have cracked behind the dash below the control valve, so the leak is not easy to get to. I appreciate any help. Thanks

On a friends 350 I cut the steel line off close to each end and then brazed on 1/2 inch couplings
then used 1/2 in. hose.

We had the lines to the rear hyd. outlet rust through under the seat on the 560. We got compression fittings & cut the hyd, tubes off ahead of the seat nounting box. After cleaning the tubing for 2" back on the outside, we put on the compression fittings[which had 1/2" pipe threads on the other end] & used hydraulic hose to go to the remote outlets. Still working. I think the hyd. pressure on those tractors was around 1200 pounds. When we had a new pump on the 450, I remember it cranked out 1500 pounds. Will vary with the age of the pump. I remember the IH dealer had the compression fittings available. Don't know how this might work up behind the cowling.

You could have new hydraulic lines made at any
store that sells Aeroquip, Alemite or Weatherhead
hydraulic hose. You would need to take your old hoses along with you. They can determine by the old hoses what pressure range hoses are required
and what swivel nuts your old hoses have.

I would guess your pressure is in around 1500 psi.
Our local auto parts store can make just about any hydraulic hose. NAPA may be able to make them too. Hal
