thank you for the reply regarding the year manufactured now in regards to the value these tractors are in rough condition but they both run would you think 1200 for the 1942 and 1500 for the 1945 would be reasonable price

I bought 2 H's last year, one in pretty nice shape, runs great, tires fair, weathercheecked, no rust, older restoration and 1 engine locked up, rough needs tires, for $1000.00 for both of them. Both are early 40's vintage, both are distalate tractors, one still has starting tank, other does not.

When the same model tractor gets that old, price is not related to age, only to condition.

Check the serial # listing on the left side of this page under Farmall.

fbh210107 x1 is a 1945 w/ gasoline only engine and fbh210107 x1 is a 1942 most likely had gas start & distillate run engine.

Prices vary with three factors we do not know.
Condition of tires
Condition of Engine/drive train/brakes/hydraulics
Condition of sheet metal or poor paint job over original.
If all these are good to very good, 1800 is in the range. If less then you are close. If worse, 500

I'm just a rookie in this business but IMHO a wide front add $4-500, rear tires shot subtract $500, extras like power steering and live hydraulics add another $2-500, rust 1/4" thick subtract $500, etc. Do all that from a base line of $1200 for an H $1500 for an M. Of course if there are mechanical difficulties it may cost more than it's worth to fix.
