Well....the pistons are not stuck anymore.

I did everything I was told:

1. I soaked them with Kerosene and brakefluid.
2. I soaked them in "Tranny" fluid.
3. I put diesel fuel in the holes and set them on fire...and
stil stuck...wound not budge when rocked a little with a big pipe wrench on the crank.

TheN, the thought occurred to me, they did not have aluminum pistons in 1927 so

I cleaned all the oil and stuff out of the holes and filled the holes level full with Muratic Acid.

and then went and played with my grandchildren for 2 hours.

When I got back, I took the pipe wrench to the crank and rocked it...it moved! and Moved! and was free... Whoopie!! All of the rust was eaten from the sidewalls and the top of the piston...slick.

I dipped the acid out. Soaked the balance up with rags and then poured in a solution of baking soda and water to neutralize the acid. Then, flushed all of that out with water...then put motor oil in the holes and rotated it through several times...

I AM GOOD TO GO TO THE NEXT STEP!

I am sure that trick worked quite well, but as a word of caution to others who may be tempted, DO NOT try this trick with aluminum pistons. Muriatic acid will instantly dissolve anything made of aluminum.

Cool! That"s neat way to do the job. I will catalog that in my brain for the future. I"m just a little bit afraid of Muriatic acid though- I de-rusted a cast iron part one time and washed it off and was able to see it re-rust before my eyes in the air. It sounds like you neutralized it good. Besides, you had nothing to lose at that point.

The acid will take all the rust off iron, steel and cast AND it will take every bit of the oils out of the metal...the result will be almost instant rust...even though you neutralize the acid. YOU MUST IMMEDIATELY THROW THE PART IN A TUB OF OIL AND LET IT SOAK TO GET OILS BACK IN THE PIECE or clean it further with lacquer cleaner and immediatly prime it getting it ready for paint. I clean all of my rusty nuts and bolts this way.
