Want to drain and replace the hydraulic fluid in my newly acquired 460. Should I replace the two filter cartridges, or are they cleanable?

Get the conversion kit for the one filter, always change the filter do not clean it. The 460, 560, 606, 656, 666, 686 all use the same filter if it has been converted.

There is a conversion to a single unit cartridge.
I buy my replecment filters from NAPA and complete with gasket.

interesting that i logged on to ask the very same question. i ordered a new filter from ly local tractor dealer and it came, only the outer oval part, with a great big hole on the other side that i am assuming the two round filters slip into. there is nothing to seal it up with on that big end and no spring to hold it in place. what is missing?

There is a valve some what like a thermostat with a big round screen on the end and an arched spring that the cover contacts to hold it in place. You change the filter and wash the screen.

My parts manual is somewhat confusing, but here is what it says for the Farmall version:

Entire filter assy is P/N 374990R91, and includes the filter screen, the mounting plate, retainers and main gasket, but excludes the two elements.

The element package is 375085R91, and consists of two elements, gasket 370801R1 and gasket 374996R1.

If you find a source, let me know! Thanks!
Paul
