I have an unrestored Super C with the original "Super C" decal on the radiator shroud instead of the hood. The hood doesn"t show a mark where the normal decal is. Has anyone seen this before. I am positive the tractor has not been messed with. It"s right off the farm.

It"s never been repainted. The other hood decals are visible but faded. It worked hard on a tobacco farm all it"s life. I suppose the original could have peeled off at one time though. It needs a lot of work, but it is part of the farm...

Sure isnt the first time someone has put the decals on wrong as there is supposed great restoration on e-bay with the BN decal on the grill instead of the hood.

Unless you are or know the original owner, there is no way to tell if a 50+ year old tractor has been repainted, unless you get to digging and find the original paint underneath. The decals are simply not original. If for some reason it is the original paint and the decal was removed, the imprint of the decal has long since faded into the original paint.

The old C of my dads was that way before we went through it. I couldn't find any clues that it had been redone in the past but how knows.
