I have fixed my leak, or at least for now. Worked my hand in behind the head to see if I could feel where the water was coming from. I found a bolt that I couldn't even see that sat behind a lip on the intake and had the wireing harness laying on it. I had just enough room to squeeze a finger back there and found it only finger tight. After much work to get a wrench on it and turned it a turn and a half my leak for now any way is gone.No runs, no drips , no errors. Thank you all so much for you help on this problem. I think the intake bolts tend to get loose over time with the cast iron block cooling at one rate and the aluminum intake at another. Oh well, dry for now.
Paul

Thats great Paul!

Just out of curiosity- specifically which bolt was it? What does the bolt hold on? Was it one of the bolts that holds the manifold to the head? Been around Chevy engines for years and can't picture any other bolt that'd be behind a "lip on the manifold" that would or could cause a coolant leak, unless an "accesory bolt" hole in the end of the head was drilled clear through to water...which it shouldn't be.

Thanks for the update post. (many don't and just kinda dissappear into some unknown universe).
If it leaks there again, it would be a good place to use some Teflon pipe tape on a replacement bolt, part way up the threads, before you take out the old bolt.

Glad you found it Paul. Those little ones, especially the ones you can't see will sometimes drive ya nuts won't they. How's the house coming. Are you in it yet? Harley

We got moved in a few weeks ago. Still living out of boxes for a while though. It's like Christmas all over again finding all my stuff I had packed. Except this gift came with a 30 year payment plan.
Going to get started on the yard work this weekend. Uuuugh
