Does any one know how to take the light bar out ,so i can check the wire harness for bar wires? Some welding had been done to the light bar on the left side to install a plate to put a starter switch on and i think they might of burnt the wire, as the lights keep burning out when hooked up to it. I did find two set screws for the light bar and took them out ,but i"m not sure if the bar comes out as one piece or two seperate pieces. I think it comes out in two pieces as there is two set screws, one for each side. So in short ,do they screw out or pull out as one piece or as two pieces????? Thank"s for any help. Mike

I just rewired one of my super C"s. The bar is connected to the upright with two set screws for each light bar. I had a hard time removing them so I unbolted the upright from the support box ( the box where the light switch, and guages are located) I didn"t remove anything from the upright I just needed some room to run wire. I used some small flexable wire (not too flexable) to us as a guide wire, taped my new wire to it and pushed from the bottom up. I bent the guide wire slightly to wire up either left or right depending on which light I was running the new wire too. It took me about 45 min. from start to finish

I think you will find it easier to just go ahead and rewire the bar instead of trying to take it loose. Use the existing wires to attach firmly to the new wires, and fish them through the bar and out the bottom, leaving plenty of slack.

It's one piece, should slide out once it gets past the rust. Not a 12 volt is it? Those are 6 volt bulbs unless you are buying 12's.

CNKS is on to it. Shorts to ground never burn bulbs running the way these are wired.
Check the voltage (a battery with 6 wattering holes is 12 volts.)
