I have a 1945 Farmall A that still has 6-volt electrics. I want to put a flashing amber light on the back, but I can't find one that will work. All i can find are 12-volt ones. I'd take one that has it's own batteries and just mount it on the back by itself, but I cant find one of those either. Can anyone tell me where to find any type of flashing amber light I can use? Thanks!

A cheap 12 volt flasher - a "2 lamp" rated flasher - will properly flash ONE standard 6 volt headlamp/work lamp bulb (#1133 bulb).

Or go to a bicycle shop and purchase a battery powered flashing LED taillight - about $15 or so. I have one (Cateye brand) will flash for 60+ hours on a pair of AA batteries, and is amazingly bright.

Easy as pie.
Go to the auto store and ask for a amber turn signal for a trailer. Round square your choice of size style. some even look real old style. Then buy a 6 volt bulb to operate in the same socket. Then buy a heavy duty two terminal 6v flasher and wire it in series with the light and on off switch.

Contact your Township or County Highway Departments and see if they will sell you a flashing barracade warning light.
