Thanks Everyone, sure was worth it. Now to get all the work cloths for this one all stripped and painted. The rear rims that I ordered came in but they didn't have the square bracketS for the lug bolts, so I sent them back and pulled the rims off the SA behind her and put 11.2s on it. Does anyone know where good rims with the square brackets, that will fit on a SA can be had? I read stories about having to grind wheels down to get the after market units to fit and would rather have something close to original.

I did do Scotty's pully trick, turned out real nice. Now you just tap it on and tighten down on 2 5/16 N.F. set screws.

Thanks for all the compliments! It's really nice to know that people really do appreciate what it takes to bring one of these things back from the brink. My girl just doesn't understand, even when she gets all those fresh veggies from the garden! Maybe I should "break the tractors" and tell her "if you want corn this year, ya better hoe a few rows!"

WOW! Don't know if I should take any credit at all for something that turned out that good. Makes me feel rather humble, kinda like I should practice what I preach.

Rusty: I know how you feel, we tend to keep a mechanically excellent working tractor around. Long as it looks decent, we're happy. We tell these guys how to fix them up, they're making us look bad. Time to shape up.

I guess I shouldn't worry about messing up the paint on my loader H, it has absolutely no paint left on it.

Scott, you did a fine job,it looks great. I grew up on a Super A and H. there was seldom a day went by that they both were not used. I can remember Dad over hauling and painting the Super A twice. He owned it about 18 years and it was 2 or 3 years old when he bought it. I would guess that tractor had 20,000 hrs on it when he sold it. An old man bought it did not use it much, a friend of mine bought it in a sale and raked hay with it for years the last I heard the rear end was out of it.

scott: Looks to me as though your one of the best students we ever had. One heck of a good restoration. I'll warn you though, we have been seeing a lot of good restorations lately. You guys are batting a lot better average than American Idol.

Now I don't watch that, but someone else in the house does, thus I hear it. Come to think of it, not much of a measuring guide to judge you folks.

Nice work!! What size tires do you have on the tractor. I have to get new ones some look smaller than others. Thank you
