The front grill for my Super C was torn around the crank hole and front mounting bolt hole. I patched it, but now I need to know the hole size and location for the front mounting bolt. Could somebody make a simple paper pattern from their Super C to show the location and size and then e-mail or mail it to me? That would be very helpful. Also, the crank bracket (to which the lower grill bolt screws) seems to not be at the correct angle. What is the correct angle for the nut? See the attached photo.

This is the upper grill mount bracket. I think it is bent backwards toward the tractor and should be square to the front of the tractor. Is that correct

Thanks Brownie...the bolt is 5/16 fine thread with a 9/16" head..I'll work on getting everything lined up and drill the hole.

I just measured mine, center of the hole 2 inches below seam and in center line of the grille. It's probably a 3/8th inch hole and bend the end of that brkt. back a little more toward the radiator. Jim

Thanks GAb--this is just what I needed. I"m going out now to bend that brkt back a bit. Thanks for taking the time to answer my query.

If I remember correctly, the"nut" on the end of your bracket needs to be nearly verticle [ 90 degrees ] so the grille bolt will match up correctly. I think that the hole in the grille is slightly oversize compared to the bolt. Guessing here, but the bolt is either 5/16" or 3/8" and the hole in the grille is maybe 7/16". Possibly 1/2". Someone may be more exact. When we had the grille off, we would re-mount it starting with the top 2 bolts & then eyeball the front lower bolt hole with a little judicious bending of the bracket in your photo.
