Hey Guys! I just finished putting my Super A back together after giving it a new paint job.I went to fire it up and-- nothing! Is there something simple you guys have encountered when you rebuilt yours that is just staring me in the face? Thought it was best to ask before I do anything I really don't have to.Thanks for any ideas! JD.

"Nothing" is difficult to diagnose.
If nothing means no sound at all, I would remove and charge the battery. while it is out, I would clean and reinstall each battery cable They should be #0 or #00 gauge wire with soldered ends.
Then I would try it again.
If it is making noise, and cranking, I would check spark (as noted below) then fuel, then timing, then vacuume (hold hand over carb intake), then compression.

Nothing really doesn't tell us much. Does the engine turn over?? If it doesn't check the battery cables and where they hook up on the starter and on the frame. You may need to clean some paint off the frame to get a good ground. If it turns over check for spark. If you have no spark check the points, maybe correded from sitting. Really need more info then just saying nothing, because nothing could mean a whole lot of something and with engines there is a lot of somethings that could be wrong.

the first thing you have to do is find out why it won't run. I'd start by pulling a spark plug wire and see if you have fire.
