Still trying to find out the thread size on the nut that holds the wheel on. Anyone know?

They are an oddball 13/16" fine thread. Was working on one on a 1958 460 today

I can't believe it would be metric, and there are only two sizes that are in that category. 3/4 with a major diameter of .750, and 7/8 at .875

is a ref.
One very possible reality is pounded 3/4.
That means it was 3/4 but someone pounded the end till it was shorter and fatter.
Using a 3/4 nf die on the shaft may be necessary.

Been a while since I've been into one, but I'd guess maybe 5/8 ths to 3/4 ths fine. Could be an odd thread but doubt it.

Well, I tried a 7/8ths fine, and it was too large. Measured over the top of the threads with calipers, checked around .810. That would make it about a 13/16ths, but I never heard of such. I'll try a 3/4 fine.
