it seems i am in the market for a head for my SM. i have a head off an M and am wondering how much power i would lose if i used that. i know the chamber is deeper on the m. i am not a collector and use the SM for light tractor work. any ideas what i would expect to pay for a head? and where to get one ? thanks. i am near madison WI

the combustion chamber is the same size on a gasoine head for an m or super m. on the super m head the chamber is opened up around the intake valve a little to breath a little easier.

do you see a problem with the use of the M head on the SM? a slight drop in power i could handle, i never overwork that machine. im just not sure about doing it in the first place. the cheapest head i found was a 8060 for $225 without a valve job. hoping its worth it to put in the M head instead. thanks
