started up the f 20 today and pushed the clutch in and it would not disengage. the last time it ran was about 6 months ago and it worked then. i know when my 8n does this the clutch disk gets stuck to the flywhell and usually i can block the clutch so it stays disengaged overnight and usually it will come loose. but i know nothing about the f 20 clutch. but anyway i blocked it up and hopefully it will be loose tommorow. any help will be appreciated

Something to think about. Every Regular, F-20 and F-30 I have torn apart had mouse nests in the clutch housing. It seems that timing mark hole is a perfect entrance for the little buggers. Before I got smart and started plugging that hole I had to tear my F-20 and regular apart multiple times to clean up and unstick the clutches. The last time I did my F-20 the clutch facing was actually rusted to the flywheel and pressure plate. It isn't that hard to take clutch apart on these tractors. Take the inspection plate off and look for nests. If you see any, it would be a good idea to tear it apart and clean it out.

The clutch is the same basic design on both of your tractors, so the same remedies will work. Heck, even if they weren't, the same remedies would work because the problem is the same: The clutch disk is stuck to the flywheel.

My F12 clutch was stuck up pretty good once. I ended up jacking the rear end up and placing it secrurely on jack stands, started the tractor in gear then climbed onto the seat, pressed the clutch pedal in and set both brakes. This works in a snap when all else fails.

Works the same on all tractors if it sticks you have to block the pedel down and hope it pops loose and or drive it in gear to get it to pop loose.
