I want to do a tune-up on a 300U But the tune up specs on this site only refer to other tractors. Did any other IH tractor use the same engine?

The 300U engine is the same as the Farmall 300 the only diffrence that I know of is that the RPMs were higher in the U. The max rated RPM in the 300 Uyility is 2000 were as the Farmall 300 is 1750 RPMs. As for everything else I think there the same. Andrew

On the tune up specs on this web site they only list the farmall super m and the regular M. Their are other alphabetical tractors listed but i would think the engines in the M's are the same. Can anyone else advise or give me specs. ie spark plug gap, point gap, valve adjustments ect. Thanks, Mike

My book shows close to the same as Andrews, although there is some variance among the different motors. which do you have. Most Common
point gap .020
dwell 62 to 68 degrees
timing TDC
valve lash .016 intake .022 exhaust
plugs .022"-.028"

Its a I&T manual for my Super H. I though the numbers should be pretty close. there about the same engine. Andrew
