Also other info that would be crucial to know in terms of assigning a value: is it a hydro or a gearshift model?
I can tell you the following things (generally) in terms of value (assuming you get it to run): a narrow front substantially decreases value vs. a factory wide front, a 2 point fast hitch substantially decreases value vs. factory 3 point. Also, as I had mentioned above, especially on a tractor that has been sitting around-a hydro substantially decreases value vs. a gearshift tranny because bad hydro's cost so many $$$$ to fix.

Eli we need a little more information.

Is the motor stuck? Does it have a 2 pt or 3pt?
Is the torque Ok?

They were built from 1967 till 1972 if you get the serial then you can get the exact year it was built.

I can tell you they had about 64 hp.

Thanks for the reply,I'm not sure of the hitch configuration but i know the engine is not stuck.the tractor has been sittng about four years, the owner recently passed away and his daughter must sell it. I don't know much about farmall but I was thinking of offering $800-$1200 for it, just curious if this was reasonable offer thought i would ask the experts. thanks, Eli- conyers GA.

Eli: Can they get it running? Until you get it running, it's very hard to determine value. Non running tractors are virtually parts tractors and have very little added value over scrap price. Your talking roughly 7,000 lbs in the case of a 656.
