selective lift control valve SMTA

I have found a selective lift control valve for a SMTA this valve has one handel with 3 slots then it has a little thum control valve with 2 positions Can anyone tell me how this works and what it is for? thank you

On the SMTA with the selective control valve you can use the lift all valve or the 2 way valve but not both at the same time. The thumb control is to lock the control handle so you can use the lift all valve, the lift all has a similar locking device to hold it closed to use the 2 way valve.
