Hey guys, I got a line on a 240 utility.First, is there such a thing? I'm not familiar with numbered tractors, just too dang new for my stable of old crows. However, I've been looking for a small tractor that could take a SMALL loader, won't be doing much with it at all, and it's fairly inexpensive. I have not seen it, but was told it was mechanically sound but missing carb, hydraulic pump and distributor. How easy are the missing parts to find and what kind(if any) loader will it take? Thanks, Kevin

Kevin,
The 240 Utility is a nice little tractor. The carb, distributor and pump shouldn't be too hard to find. For a loader, I would recommend adding a front mount hydraulic pump. The pump on the 240 doesn't have the capacity to effectively operate a loader. Mine has power steering and 2-Point hitch. If I try to raise the loader and dump the bucket at the same time, the loader will go down instead of up.

Yes there was a 240 U line went C, Super C, 200, 230, and 240. 240 the only one that had a Utility.
